We are so impressed with this client. They are very hot on story telling and cultural change. Their work is based in research and creative strategy, often working on social problems and cultural conversations. They work with everyone from Silicon Valley corporations to one-woman NGOs. A significant amount of their work is with civil society / non profit organisations.
They are entrepreneurial, smart, thoughtful and have really found their niche which spans behaviour/social change and big tech. With the amazing support of freelance collaborators (qual researchers, brand strategists, academics and film makers) in their words, they are keen on interdisciplinary teams and engaging with unlikely collaborators.
With a small team of brilliant researchers in place, they are now in the position to hire a creative Project Manager to oversee projects, teams and operations and be the ‘nurturer’ of the office.
It’s a lovely role which is varied and to an extent will be moulded by the skills of the individual hired. There will be some traditional project organisation eg. setting up projects, coordination, keeping everything fluid between teams and clients and liaising with suppliers (a network of recruiters, field agencies and freelancers would be most welcome!), but it doesn’t end here, there is so much more to this role.
There will be an element of pastoral care; keeping people happy, nourished and motivated, and working in the best possible way. And with the agency’s focus on creative output eg. documentary films, books, toolkits and posters there is a lot of collaboration with designers, developers and film-makers, so someone with a production background or an interest in this type of work, would be in their element – this role isn’t just about organising fieldwork!
In terms of what the client needs, we are looking for a Project Manager with solid international experience. Someone who can take on unusual and complex briefs (as well as more straightforward ones) and someone who is used to costing for projects and inputting into proposals.
We would love to hear from you if you are a client facing qualitative project manager (with bags of energy and a great sense of humour) who is looking for a role where the opportunity to learn is huge and where you can grow alongside this talented team of brilliant, creative and intellectually curious researchers.
Full or part-time will be considered for this role and there is flexibility for the right candidate.
