The agency uses strategic social listening and human understanding to find meaning in social data and has already had great success in doing this; they have conducted a number of high profile, strategic projects around environmental issues, migration and fake news for clients from the consumer, political, and tech sectors. Having identified an opportunity to help pharmaceutical businesses understand what their customers are saying by using conversational insight, they’re now replicating this success within the healthcare sector.
With a history of successfully growing accounts through strong expertise of the sector, the CSD will be driving a new healthcare area for the agency, with responsibility for bringing in clients, building a team and managing the P&L; there is lots of autonomy, as well as the support of an extremely knowledgeable and proactive management team; and the opportunity to ultimately become MD of the healthcare business.
With that in mind, we are looking for a commercially driven healthcare researcher; someone who is passionate about the sector and fascinated by social data and technology and how these research techniques can be applied to the healthcare space. A qual background would work extremely well in understanding the meaning behind the conversation; that said, it’s about your enthusiasm to use new techniques and passion for social listening that will benefit you in this role; they are open to considering different backgrounds, as long as the pharma knowledge is there.
You will have a natural flair for building relationships and have an appreciation for the role of social data and the value it can add to both a major pharma brand as well as a small, start-up biotech company; your ability to understand the value of social data within the pharma industry is far more important than actual experience; it’s your passion and enthusiasm to learn and apply new techniques that they’re looking for.
