Opportunities to set up a research offer in a business such as this are rare. The challenge here is to create and oversee the research strategy and plan for this leading, fast-developing entertainment brand, influencing and adding value to the way the organisation thinks about and uses internal data and external research. So as well as building the road map from pretty-well a standing start, you will be encouraging new ways of thinking and working by your key stakeholders.
This is, initially at least, a stand-alone role with a dotted line to a team whose work you will oversee. As a very flat structure, this is a culture where everyone can and will roll their sleeves up when they need to.

For this role, we must see a track record of creating and implementing research strategies and plans and of delivering results; you’ll need lots of examples of work you have done to drive strong growth. Impact is key. We need to see hands-on skills including use of SPSS or Q – and a good understanding of qual (you don’t need moderation skills). We need either a mix of agency and client-side or client-side experience. You must have strong influencing skills, confidence, drive and you must thrive in a challenging, big-thinking environment. Experience in media/entertainment, tech or a similar dynamic, fast-paced sector is a must.
