We are working with a highly successful global market research agency which has just won a sizeable new programme focused on digital audience measurement. This agency has a strong heritage in the audience measurement arena, with very established programmes and long-term client relationships. This is a significant win, both in terms of value and kudos in the industry; it will be a syndicated programme tracking internet usage through passive data collection across all devices.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a major project right from the get-go, and to shape its future development. For this role, we are looking for a permanent Director of Project Management – and also someone who can take the role on a temporary basis whilst a permanent Director is hired (unless the permanent Director is available immediately).
Due to the complexity and size of the programme, there is a run up to launch and, with much to do, they are starting the set-up phase straightaway. They need a director who can meticulously plan the entirety of the project to ensure that the highest quality data is delivered, to budget and on time. It’s all to do, right from the planning phase: setting up time lines, mile stones and action plans to building a team, recruiting and signing up the panel and making it happen.
In this role, you will develop every part of the programme, working closely with the research and tech teams internally and the external partner organisation specialising in cookies, tagging etc. There are many experts on hand to help for example recruiting and managing the panel so there is plenty of expertise and support on hand – you will have oversight of every aspect.
This a senior level, client facing role and is critical to the successful implementation of the project. As such we need a strategic, solutions-driven person with the energy and passion to make things happen.
You will need a track record of setting up and leading major project management programmes. Experience of running one large project would be helpful – and if that is in the audience measurement space, so much the better – but neither are must-haves. Experience and attitude are the most important factors here.
You will need strong ‘people skills’ and an ability to lead by example, you will be able to create, motivate, mentor and inspire teams and create strong relationships with senior stakeholders on the research side and through the wider business. We need to see credibility and gravitas – someone who wins the respect of internal stakeholders and clients alike.
And you will need at least an interest in, and ideally experience of, the tech side.
Project management is a key focus for this successful business and this particular team is part of a wider project management function which runs throughout the entire business. PM is highly respected and very established, with a very clear career path and a high level of recognition. This agency truly understands the value of exemplary project management and has really invested into the function with some brilliant, recent senior-level hires. This role really gives profile and the chance to shine – the business is investing heavily in this project, so senior eyes are on it.
Culturally, the environment is a breath of fresh air – people are empowered and encouraged to add value and as a result, it feels energised and upbeat.
Please note that this client offers flexibility including the opportunity to work 4 day/weeks and to work from home if required and a core hours structure which offers flexibility at each end of the day to help with travel, other commitments etc.
