This highly regarded, mid-sized boutique agency has a well-earned reputation for delivering great quality work that helps their clients thrive. They have long-standing and close client relationships with some of the very best brands and organisations – and they are seen as part of their clients’ teams. And what we really like about them is that everyone clearly enjoys working here – people we move here settle, enjoy it, learn and develop – they have one of the lowest staff turnover rates in the industry. This is a true people-focused business with a great work-life balance – they care about their staff and it shows.
This role will work across business-to-business and social/not-for-profit clients. You would be the key account contact for the agency’s largest social client – and there are so many great briefs coming up in this area, many of them strategic – and important – in nature. And on the B2B side, the work is very broad – from service/product development to developing concept and propositions, looking at blue sky innovation, creative/comms…
What stands out is that this agency has a huge amount of influence with their clients – they are listened to and they get to see the results of their work which they find particularly rewarding. In the words of the team lead: “It is really lovely to be trusted in this way, clients turn to us to unpack their challenges and they buy in to the research”.
Integrated research is at the heart of what they do so whilst this is a qual role, the quant and qual teams work closely together.
For this role, we are looking for someone who has a solid qual background, who can get to grips with complex and wide-ranging client challenges – from revenue generation/share growth to improving public services for the long term, someone who is focused on generating insight which delivers impact around strategy and action and who is clear and concise in their communication.
Ideally, we would like experience of public sector and commercial clients but we are open to both – so this is a really good opportunity for someone with a commercial research background to get involved in social research – we know opportunities like this are rare. Or the other way around – you might have a social research background and be interested in the commercial world. We need to see strong technical skills – across traditional and digital and we need someone who loves being in front of clients.
This agency really cares about its employees – asked why people enjoy being here, the answer is always the people and the fascinating work. There is a focus on wellbeing, training and development and there is a culture of promoting from within. There is a resounding feeling that people are happy to be here. They are consistently a ‘destination agency of choice’.
As this is a new role, they are open to someone who is an established Research Manager with an eye on Associate Director level in the short to midterm, or an early-doors Associate Director.
This client has a very real commitment to diversity so they are keen to hear from people with a wide range of backgrounds. They are open to candidates who do not have a degree.
