This is an exceptional opportunity for a Research Executive to join an independently owned social research agency, who are experiencing a high level of growth through new and repeat business.
With a reputation for delivering outstanding insight to their clients who include government departments, professional trade bodies, independent regulators and charities, they are winning some significant and sizeable projects and as a result, they are recruiting a number of new Research Executive level positions.
Sectors they research and evaluate include higher education, learning and skills, housing, regulation and employment and benefits, and they describe the work they do as ‘research that makes a difference’.
The RE position has a strong quant focus, with some exposure to mixed methods research; at RE level, you are encouraged to work across a variety of projects and sectors, gaining exposure to different techniques, and experiencing different sector challenges; as you grow within the business you can choose to specialise within a specific sector.
You’ll be working with a team of social research experts, often working with senior level directors, so it’s a brilliant opportunity to learn from some real experts in the social research space. You’ll receive full training and support and will be encouraged to take on more responsibility as you develop; this is very much a meritocratic environment where you will progress according to your ability.
Although social research experience is desirable, we also welcome applications from researchers in the commercial research space, who can demonstrate a passion and commitment to developing a career within social research; what is important is that you have c. 1 years’ experience in a research agency in a quant/mixed methods role and a passion for social research.
This business is a breath of fresh air! What is different here is the agency is independently owned by its ‘on-site’ team of Directors who remain hands-on in terms of clients and research; this means the business is fluid and agile; there is no bureaucracy or red tape eg. if a decision is made, it can be implemented immediately.
The culture is friendly, relaxed and informal (this is not a corporate environment), but don’t be fooled by this; this is a team of brilliant social researchers who are focused on delivering the very best insight to their clients, often presenting at senior level within the government (eg. The Cabinet Office).
Their central London office is bright and modern with outstanding views ; they have a strong team ethic and regular social events; the office itself it designed to encourage open communication and team working with a large communal ‘break-out’ area looking out over the Thames, and the Shard directly opposite ; a lovely location to work in and a culture which encourages growth and learning.
