There has never been a more exciting time to work in the world of corporate reputation! Tax avoidance, environmental issues, oil prices, corporate governance, online security… this highly respected team work with many of the biggest and best global companies to help them build and enhance their corporate reputations with the people who matter most. It’s a fascinating and challenging area focused on creating insight which enables clients to develop trust and value, often across borders.
Your focus will be on helping clients develop a clear understanding of their reputational currency – how strong it is and what drives, builds and sustains it. You’ll be identifying and targeting key stakeholders (governments, NGOs, the media, academics…) and markets, determining the factors that drive favourability and investigating current and potential issues. The insight you generate will provide clear and practical advice in terms of identifying communication strategies, activities and messages which develop corporate reputation in the most effective way. As the direct clients are often at the most senior level, your work will feed directly into the stakeholder and communications strategies of some of the world’s leading organisations.
You’ll need to be genuinely interested in the corporate world – but not necessarily from a corporate research background. You’ll love working on briefs that don’t have a straightforward solution. You’ll enjoy managing lots of different kinds of projects and love international work – your key project will be looking at the reputational issues facing a large household-name global organisation across around 20 key markets – as well as working on a varied mix of other research programmes.
The work is varied and tailored to each client; mainly bespoke, it’s mixed methods so experience of both would be ideal but we are open to hearing from you if you specialise in one or the other. You will need to bring effective project management skills to the team, be used to drafting questionnaires or discussion guides based on a client’s brief, analysing data, writing reports and presentations and being a key point of client contact. You’ll be able to manage smaller proposals yourself and enjoy contributing to large proposals. Ideally you will be able to moderate in-depth interviews – in this role, you’ll be speaking to very senior stakeholders and influencers – think CEOs of global organisations, politicians, academics etc. Most importantly, you’ll be a self-starter, keen to take responsibility for your projects and get ‘out there’.
You’ll be offered all the benefits of a top-drawer global agency: second-to-none training, wider development opportunities, a smart and ambitious team…. and at the same time, play a key role in growing a highly-successful mini-business which is a leader in its field.
