This independent research agency has grown significantly over recent years. They have a long history of delivering exceptional research for a wide range of clients within government agencies, and independent organisations, and are the ‘go to’ agency for research and consultancy on many current and topical issues which have impacted our daily lives throughout the last year.
Their expertise includes evaluating high profile government policies and programmes, assessing return on public funding, and providing insight into some of the key questions, issues, and challenges facing society today, and they deliver insight which helps to solve these challenges and improve peoples’ lives (eg. health and well-being, employment and housing etc).
Having recently won several significant and exciting evaluation studies, they are hiring for a Research Manager to manage these projects throughout the entire cycle; this is a client facing role with enormous scope to develop, grow and have significant impact on the shape of their evaluation offer.
These evaluation pieces explore employment, welfare, and skills with hard-to-reach audiences (eg. disadvantaged groups) and you will be partnering with government and non-government agencies (eg. independent agencies helping to improve outcomes for young people) on this research. You will be exploring some really key issues eg. measuring the impact of the pandemic (eg. health and well-being) on different communities and helping to drive change eg. getting young people back in to work after the pandemic.
For this role, we need an evaluation and or/advisory background, with experience in social research. A mix of qual and quant experience is essential – much of the work has a leaning towards qual. You will need a proven ability to lead on research and evaluation proposals, using your expertise within the social research space to really make an impact – creating insightful, in-depth reports, and presentations.
There are no limits to what you can do in this agency; if you want more responsibility, the chance to learn from a management team of social research experts, or the opportunity to broaden out and learn other sectors (they work across many) you will have that here.
The culture of the agency is outstanding; fun, friendly, and supportive; the team is close knit and collaborative; they support each other in every aspect of their work, and the management team really look after their employees – ensuring a great work/life balance.
