This boutique consultancy is really packing a punch in the world of corporate reputation, issues management and strategy consulting. Their partners are some of the most highly respected industry figures: impressive, inspirational and at the forefront of fresh thinking and technique development. Their portfolio includes global organisations, key government departments, public sector organisations and leading charities and they work with senior clients, delivering insight which provides direction around the most complex and challenging issues. Well known for the uncompromising quality of their work, they are looking to expand their smart, high achieving, talented team.
The quality of work here really stands out here. They invest in developing long term client relationships and pride themselves on creating brilliant outputs. There’s no corner-cutting, no ‘getting it done’ – they only put out the best possible work.
Their people love the variety of work. Reputation management, message development, communication and campaign creation, opinion transformation, issues management and behaviour change are at the heart of what they do. With a mix of corporate and public/third sector clients, you might be exploring attitudes to Brexit as time passes, looking at what voters expect from a Labour government, looking at engagement work and issues management for a leading water company…these are hard-hitting and important pieces.
As the team is expanding, they are open to people at Senior Research Executive or Research Manager level. Much of the work they do is qualitative or mixed methods so you will certainly need a good grounding in qualitative research. Moderation experience is preferred but this is not a deal breaker. They use a wide range of techniques from the traditional to deliberative workshops through to online so experience of or at least an interest in these is important. You will be working alongside partners specialising in quantitative research so mixed methods experience would be beneficial.
You do not need experience in the reputation/comms arena – the most important thing here is intellectual rigor – you must be able to cut through the insight and identify the strategies which will provide clients with clarity in terms of direction and activity. These will be very client facing roles so you must enjoy that side of things – we need people with gravitas and confidence, people who are at home working with very senior clients (all with appropriate levels of support). And we need people who enjoy a busy, pacey, intellectually challenging environment – this agency suits smart, entrepreneurial self-starters.
Opportunities to progress abound here: you get promoted when you are ready, there is no waiting around and as well as more formal training, you will be learning from some of the best, most highly regarded people in the industry – so you can expect to develop your career at a pace.
