This highly regarded, medium sized, independent research agency is experiencing enormous growth and is about to embark on a substantial recruitment phase.
With a long history of delivering exceptional research for a wide range of clients including policy makers, industry regulators, employers, professional bodies, third sector organisations, academic institutions and consultancies, they examine many areas of social research.
Around half of their research is for Central Government Departments; they have a long history in this area and a reputation for delivering, resulting in a high volume of repeat business; they have developed a real expertise in the higher education and learning and skills sector and with years of expertise in this space, they are the ‘go to’ agency for this kind of work, regularly winning projects over their much larger competitors. Increasingly they are working with a number of trade bodies eg. the Office of Students, and they are building a strong reputation in this space too.
Their expertise includes evaluating high profile government policies and programmes, assessing return on public funding and providing insight into very key questions, issues and challenges; the work is varied and ranges from housing to education to employment and benefits and regulation, and researchers are actively encouraged to get involved in a range of projects.
Something that really stands out about this agency is the management team; they are all hands-on researchers, who remain passionate about social research and are actively involved in managing clients and projects, and focused on passing their knowledge down to their research teams.
Having recently had an incredible win within the sector, they are adding to the team with an RM; there are no limits to what you can do in this agency; if you’re are looking for more responsibility, the chance to learn from a management team of social research experts or the opportunity to broaden out and learn other sectors (they work across many) you will have that here.
You will need solid quantitative skills; most project tends to be quant or mixed methods so qual experience would also be great. An interest in education and skills, charity/3rd sector or housing issues would be helpful.
You’ll need a flair for creating insightful, in-depth reports, a creative and confident approach to client presentations, a keen eye for detail and you’ll be a team player; someone who thrives in a team focused environment with open communication.
The culture of the agency is outstanding and noticeable as soon as you arrive at the office (as commented by a recent hire to the business); it’s fun, friendly and supportive; they have a stunning glass walled break out room overlooking the Thames where many of their internal meetings and social events take place
The team is close knit and collaborative; they support each other in every aspect of their work and they’re looking for a like-minded RM, who enjoys being part of a team.
They offer flexible working and regular social events and they’re based in lovely, contemporary offices in Central London.
