We are looking for a quantitative researcher to carry out a 3-month contract with this leading charity. This is a well-known organisation which provides an invaluable service to people in need and their family/friends/carers. The role is based in Surrey, close to London (an easy train journey with a frequent service and close to the station) – that said, you only need to be in the office for meetings so around 2 days/week – you could, if you wanted, WFH for around 3 days/week.
This high calibre and friendly team has a number of quant projects which need to be completed so they are looking for some extra resource to help them. One of these is to analyse data from a survey looking at a very key part of their service to help determine how to make improvements going forward. The other two are around evidence/literature reviews, to ensure they remain at the forefront of equality, diversity and inclusion and to work through the latest guidance around one of their key service areas and to make recommendations for any changes.
For this role, as well as being available quickly, we need to see good quant skills (basic cross tab etc) as well as the ability to pick out the key insights and report these to stakeholders (internal teams) in easy-to-understand language. You need experience of analysing and assessing a wide range of evidence including academic research and of literature reviews. You do not need sector experience but you will need an interest in the not-for-profit/social research arena.
