This is an outstanding role in a leading research agency which is hugely respected within the public sector space. They are very open to hearing from people whose experience is on the consumer research side who are keen to move across to social research – as well as people who are already working on the social research side.
Working with top-notch clients on some of the most fascinating and challenging projects around, this team is well-established and high-functioning – full of passionate, motivated people – and the methodologies used are pioneering. There is currently lots of behavioural work, tracking what people are doing, looking at and talking about to give a real insight to clients around service and programme development.
You’ll get to work across a wide range of policy areas – rather than specialising in one specific area – and if you do have or develop a particular interest, you will be able to develop your experience in it.
This role will see you working on a very broad mix of projects for clients including central and local government, third sector organisations, educational establishments and think tanks – including policy and service evaluation, public dialogue and customer insight work, comms development and testing to name a few. Projects are complex and fascinating and programmes are specifically tailored to client requirements – the team is well-known and highly respected for this. They use a range of traditional and innovative approaches; breadth and innovation are very much a priority.
This role sits in the qual team and we do need to see established qual skills. However, much of the work is mixed methods, so if you do prefer to work across mixed methods programmes, you can certainly do that and develop both your quant and qual skills.
There’s a lot on offer here. In terms of what we need in return: established qualitative research skills including moderation experience, a track record of managing clients, good project management skills, and, as importantly, energy, proactivity and enthusiasm in spades.
