This agency is at the bespoke and consultative end of the spectrum. With offices in the US, Asia and Europe, they have an international reach but still consider themselves to be a boutique at heart and continue to operate in this way. It is a lovely place to work with a great work/life balance.
With a storming 2018 and financial results which have exceeded all expectations, they have made a strategic decision to hire a dedicated Business Developer.
There is already a substantial amount of work booked in for 2019, they have a great team; they have been doing some fantastic PR and, although not a process driven agency, they have put a structure in place which means they can work to the very highest standards, so there couldn’t be a better time to join.
This agency is well respected for combining excellent research, added value and people-based skills and the Business Developer will be responsible for promoting their work and capabilities to new and existing clients. As the central point for new business internally and externally your strong consultative and influencing skills will be key in driving the sales strategy.
This is not a ‘stand-alone’ sales role; the Business Developer will be fully immersed in to the teams; they already have a sales plan, what they need is someone to formalise and take ownership of this plan, to promote it and to drive it forward across the business.
We are looking for a talented, ambitious and emotionally intelligent Business Developer; someone who wants to truly understand the business they’re selling as well as the businesses they are selling to; someone who is energetic and convincing when talking to clients and someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
There are no targets in this role. This is a team effort and requires a team player who wants to work in a more collaborative way in a successful business.
This could be an ideal role for a commercial researcher who wants to move into sales but wants to remain in a consultative and team focused environment; or at the other end of the spectrum, a Law or Marketing graduate who wants to pursue a career in sales.
Whether your background is in research or professional services, if you have the energy, desire and commitment to take on a new business role, which is very different to the norm, then we would like to hear from you.
