This is a rare opportunity for an established evaluation candidate to join a this hugely successful, impressive, ambitious and fun evaluation team, with a focus on the environment, sustainability and energy. We’re talking hot topics including net zero, industrial decarbonisation, fuel poverty, energy efficiency, air pollution….
Much as experience in these areas would be ideal, the team are open to evaluators with experience in other policy areas so long as there is a genuine interest – so this is an opportunity to focus on an area where you may have a real passion – and to make a difference to this hugely important policy area.
The focus is on evaluating the impact and effectiveness of public policies, programmes and interventions and to draw conclusions and provide recommendations to help set policy priorities, improve effectiveness and strengthen delivery. The work spans process, impact and economic evaluation.
Working with a very impressive client list including government departments, climate change agencies, charities, EU bodies and global organisations, the projects this team undertake tend to be large scale, both in terms of challenge and budget. Spanning UK-focused work and global programmes, recent projects include looking at how to encourage the use of smart metres, inputting into the development of electric car engines and evaluating whether UK funds being given to help develop sustainable energy sources are delivering the results required in countries such as Chile and Namibia. The work is broad!
The successful candidate will have a background in process, policy and impact evaluation. We need to see experience of managing and delivering programmes to timescales and budget and of writing or inputting into proposals – all with appropriate support from dynamic, impressive and approachable leaders. Candidates must have a track record or and enjoy being client facing. And Quantitative analysis experience is very important. As importantly we need to see a real passion for environmental public policy development.
