This role would see you working with a wide range of government, charity, academic and regulatory clients on some of the most fascinating and challenging projects around. This is an established, dynamic and passionate team, full of people who are motivated by making a difference to people’s lives.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract and we would like to hear from social/public sector qual specialists at Associate Director or established Director level – or established Directors from a commercial setting who want to make the move to social/public sector research.
Variety is the key here in terms of clients, subject matter (including policy and service evaluation, public dialogue and customer insight work, comms development and testing) and qual techniques. Projects are complex and fascinating and programmes are specifically tailored to client requirements – the team is well-known and highly respected for this. The work spans qual-only and the qual aspect of mixed methods programmes.
Recent work includes looking at how to protect vulnerable people in social care in order to inform policy development on behalf of a major government department, evaluating service provision to families of people with a specific illness for a very high-profile charity, using deliberative techniques to understand attitudes to data privacy, work around finance, housing, regeneration… it is a vast range.
This is a very client facing role so we would like to see a track record of leading and providing senior-level counsel to key clients (public sector or commercial), a commitment to providing the best possible insight and evidence, a flair for managing, mentoring and motivating a team (there is a matrix structure and also the opportunity to lead your own team) and a track record of identifying opportunities to grow a business – along with the get-up-and-go and gravitas to go for it.
We would especially like to hear from people with strong deliberative and public engagement experience – but this is not a deal-breaker.
