This is a rare opportunity to develop an already-successful evaluation offer and team in an organisation which provides both a strongly entrepreneurial culture and well-established and thought-through processes and systems.
This team carries out many of the highest profile, important and complex evaluation pieces and they have an impressive client portfolio spanning international and national governments, NGOs, charities and think tanks.
They are highly successful; the team has experienced consistently strong growth and the business is investing heavily in it. This role has been created to drive future growth, as well as leading on some key programmes.
There is a 50-50 split in this role between project delivery (with a brilliant junior team in place) and business development. Opportunities are incoming so this is more about successfully bidding and creating winning proposals.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who loves to be hands-on and who wants to help drive growth, maximising the potential of this team in the future.
So we are looking for exceptional evaluation and research skills (both qual and quant), combined with a great commercial aptitude; someone who has a track record of creating winning evaluation and research proposals and building out relationships with clients. There is a strong preference for an individual with a pre-existing network to draw on.
Capacity building will be key to the role, so leadership qualities are important.
Profile raising is also critical to the role; this is a well-known business with an exceptional evaluation offer, and they are looking to raise the profile of some key policy areas. As such, we need someone who is comfortable being “front of house” with new and existing clients.
Specifically, they would love to find someone with experience of running evaluations which promote social and economic growth around the world, particularly in less developed countries. They are also open to people with a focus on one or more of the following: public health, gender, sustainability and children.
This is a fantastic time to join a growing team in a senior role where you can really shape the strategy whilst not needing to build a team from scratch.
This is a very prestigious agency, well known and recognised for its robust methodologies, innovative approach and strategic outputs. A highly innovative and forward-thinking environment, this is a place for people who love to take ownership and make things happen – you are given autonomy and support to do just that. The people here are genuinely curious and interested in what they do. The training on offer is second-to-none and development opportunities, here and overseas should you wish, are huge.
As a result of all this, people stay – they talk about being challenged, consistently offered new opportunities, being listened to, and enjoying being in a culture where anyone at any level can have an opinion, be heard and lead on projects.
