An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic qual orientated researcher looking to make a difference in the social sector. The client is also open to candidates with a PM/operations background who are looking to lean into and develop their research skills.
This well-thought-of business conduct consulting and research work for clients from a range of sectors (e.g. sport, charities, and government bodies), with an education and social impact focus. The unifying theme of their projects is effectively addressing educational inequalities and driving social change – current work includes a country-wide project for a large football organisation, utilising football in primary schools to help teach children wider skills and encourage thinking around important and current societal issues.
With a qual emphasis, you will be also working across mixed methods projects, supporting the research and insight team utilising a range of qualitative techniques including; conducting interviews, facilitating focus groups and workshops (on and off line), communities and in-school ethnography. You may have a purely qual background to date, with limited quant experience, provided you have a willingness to explore and learn more about this aspect of the role.
This role is client facing and provides fabulous exposure to large household name clients. You will have a real and valued input from the get go, understanding the research need, working out the best research methodology approach, contributing to writing proposals, with support running a range of high project projects and really having the opportunity to see the impact of your work – a fantastic role to develop your skills across the entire research process whilst working in a unique social impact environment which incorporates research & insight, strategy & consulting, marketing and creating content.
An interest in education, young people, driving positive change is key. You may come from a more commercial background or a socially orientated background. Important are your grounded qual research skills (ideally with some quant exposure) and a great attitude towards working on topical and thought provoking projects within a sector which is very much in the current headlines.
Whilst based in London, they do offer complete flexible working if required.
